The BUNZ Story
I started BUNZ out of frustration, with jeans that never fit right, brands that didn’t get bodies like mine, and the feeling of being left out of fashion altogether. As a plus-sized woman, I was tired of squeezing into denim that was either too tight in the hips or gaping at the waist. I wanted something that fit me, not something I had to shrink or suffer into.
I didn’t have investors or a background in fashion. What I had was a sewing machine, a stack of thrifted denim I ripped apart to study, and a vision for jeans that made curves feel like a superpower.
I spent late nights teaching myself pattern design, watching endless videos on fabric stretch ratios, and hand-sewing my first prototypes at my kitchen table. When the first samples actually fit- like, properly hugged my waist and thighs without cutting off circulation. I cried. Not because they were perfect, but because it was the first time something was made with me in mind.
Every order in the early days? I packed it myself. I printed the labels, folded each pair, even stuck thank-you notes written on the back of scrap paper. I still remember my first 10 customers by name. They weren’t just buyers. they were women like me who felt ignored for too long.
Today, BUNZ isn’t just a denim brand. It’s a love letter to every woman who’s ever felt like fashion wasn’t made for her body. We make jeans that sculpt, stretch, and celebrate, not hide, your shape.
From a one-woman sewing hustle to a growing brand with a loyal following, BUNZ was built by hand, heart, and hustle.
Thank you for being part of the story. ❤️
